Timpano Italian Chop House – A Sand Lake Classic

Restaurant Row (as Scott Joseph dubbed the stretch of restaurants along Sand Lake Road) really only got started about seven years ago, so it seems a little odd to refer to any of the restaurants here as  a “classic”. But if you had to pick one it would be Timpano Italian Chop House. And if you had to pick one that stands out as having one of the more solid group dining programs, again I would vote Timpano Italian Chop House.

They offer a private dining room with a semi-private entrance in close proximity to the restroom and kitchen (but sadly no view of the lake which is understandably reserved for their core clientele).  The dining rooms can be broken into a variety of ways to accommodate small groups, but appears to be best served for groups of no more than 100. I have planned events here and found the staff to be very accommodating. They are flexible to serve within their popular menu options or conversely can offer a full range of event-style food and services.

Because they are open for lunch, this place is a STAND OUT out for day time events such as brunches, fund-raisers, meetings, bridal showers and Kiddush luncheons. If you are looking to have an event on Sand Lake Road, you REALLY should check out Timpano and if you haven’t been there in the last few years, then check out their Martini bar and live music.

Find Timpano Italian Chop House at 7488 W. Sand Lake Road. To plan a special event there you will go through their corporate sales team at E Brands,  which is part of the Tavistock Restaurant Group.  View group dining menu.
